Maritime Transport

Freeing global trade from emissions
By causing over 4% of global greenhouse gas emissions, heavy oil- and Diesel-powered vessels belong to our earth’s biggest polluters. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) expects this number to rise by 50 to 250 percent if no action is taken. In particular shore-lined cities and localities suffer from air quality issues when large vessels dock their ports.
